2,056 homes sold in October, according to data released this morning by statewide industry group Illinois Realtors;that's down 2.5% from the same time in 2017.

In the nine-county metropolitan area, 9,038 homes sold last month, down 1.7% from October 2017. But the declines in the region were smaller than the decline in home sales nationally;not too shabby.
